7:00- D-don't call it a date!

I knocked loudly on Haruko's door, tugging at my collar and brushing back strands of hair like I did when I was nervous.

"Coming!" She calls out, walking towards the door causally. The door then swigs open, revealing a happy Haruka. "Hey Ace." She had an small smile on her face, making her look like a small innocent child.

"Are you ready?" Now, I wasn't wearing my typical T-shirt and slacks, but I definitely wasn't going to wear a suit for a dinner... outing. "I wasn't sure what you'd be in the mood for, so I just made reservations at all the popular restaurants in town. I guess when they hear the name Toromaki, everyone's schedules suddenly become empty... though to be honest I don't have any of the money they'd expect..." Sure it may have been unnecessary to make reservations for 26 different restaurants, but if I finally had the balls to take Haruka somewhere I wasn't going to screw it up.

"Yeah. Just let me get my phone." The door then closes just to be reopened 1 minute later. "Sorry for the wait, but I'm ready to head out now." Haruka says, her voice sounding calm and collective.She steps out of her dorm, locking the door behind her. "So, where are we eating?"

"That's up to you. Pick any restaurant in town and I bet I've made a reservation for it." I said, walking down the hall of the dormitory.

"Every restaurant in town...?" She couldn't believe that he made reservation for every restaurant in town when they were just hanging out as friends. "In that case, I think I'm in the mood for some seafood." Haruka then runs her finger through her hair, continuing to walk forward.

"Alright, sounds great." I said, stretching. Now as long as we weren't jumped by that guy that kidnapped me, tonight should be perfect.

Haruka looks over at Ace, brushing her hair back with her fingers before saying, "I'm really glad that we're going out to eat. I haven't seen you or anyone else for a while, so it's nice to spend time with you."

"Yeah." I chuckled. "Sorry again about disappearing just before classes started again." I looked away. "I probably should have let you know. Although then I probably would have asked you to come and... that wouldn't have ended well..."

Instead of just continuing to walk in silence, Haruka gives Ace a side hug and says, "Don't worry, the past is in the past."

A smile grew on my face as I hugged her back. Which, to be honest, was kind of an awkward hug due to our height difference. "Thanks. I may not get very emotional often, but I guess if anyone can tell when I'm down it's you."

"I'm glad." She smiles brightly at him and continues to say, "We should get to the restaurant."

"Right." I picked up my pace, making sure she doesn't fall behind.

The two of them finally reached the exit of the dormitory which took forever to get to. "Finally." She whispers with a smile.
