Main Element: Water
Support Element(s): Ice
Student Year: 3rd
Personality: For the most part, Sebell displays a calm, serious, quiet and disinterested persona, without showing whether he leans towards friendliness or coldness. He usually leaves that up to others to determine whether they'd like to approach him or not; he himself doesn't try to have attention drawn to him, since he considers that annoying. He
is capable of showing a friendlier and more carefree side of himself if anyone gets to know him well enough, but on the contrary... If he is annoyed too extensively, his reactions are usually full of force and with no warnings. In addition, he hardly ever tries to contribute to others' needs more than he does to his own, unless it's a very special case.
History: Sebell was born by unknown parents, and ended up being found by an underling of the well-off Lovaine family and raised under that name. It was known that Lady Lovaine was completely incapable of bearing children of her own, so the discovery of the young child was a blessing for her.
During his childhood, the boy was given education far above the average level and exceptional physical training, all of which were somewhat easier to grasp thanks to his ease at learning and perceiving ideas. However, he never had the chance to meet other children his age, since his 'parents' always expected him to use his mental brightness to converse with them and their large groups of friends rather than let it go to waste by allowing him to play with other children. As a result, despite his already wide capacity of knowledge, he was, in fact, a lonely child.
One day, there was an unexpected visitor when he was alone at home. An old man, seemingly a beggar, seeking shelter from the rain, which wouldn't stop falling. Although young Sebell was hesitant at first, eventually he did let the man in. Not too much time passed, and the man introduced himself as an elementalist, and a retired teacher at a special school for students with an affinity to the elements. The boy had never heard of elementalists or the word "magic" before, so he refused to believe... Yet a display of the man's powers was more than simply convincing. From the time of the beggar's departure and on, Sebell's research on elemental magic began almost immediately. He couldn't find any books on the subject in his house's large library, but his curiosity had already gotten the better of him, and he resorted to leaving with every possible chance to confirm what his eyes had seen. And he did.
As soon as he turned twelve, his parents finally decided to have a talk with him and have him decide his future, in what way he would contribute to their family name. They did make many proposals to him, yet he didn't approve of any of them; he didn't intend to stay under the shadow of his elders and their name forever. Meanwhile, his older research on elementalist magic had returned to his mind, along with the information on the 'special' school he had collected. That was the path he intended to take: to continue his education there and, if he did have any affinity to the elements, he would finish everything there.
Without hesitating, he expressed his newfound wish... Only to be reprimanded heavily for that, much to his dismay. The mere concept of magic was a forbidden one in the family, for no specific reason, and neither of his parents would agree with him, no matter what words he would use to convince them.
After his last desperate attempt ended up being a failure, he finally decided to stop letting others decide for him and grasp his own future before it was too late. He ran away from home, spent a few months in another town mentally preparing himself, and once the time was right for him, he finally visited the Academy to enrol for his introduction and first year, shortly after his 13th birthday. It was at that time when he discovered his affinity to water, and then to ice on the second year. And so, he decided to continue his lessons there... And possibly work on his solitude a bit and make a few friends.
